Mike Vanasse is the founder of Vanasse Law, a Lancaster law firm solely dedicated to representing injured workers. Mike brings more than 25 years of experience litigating workers’ compensation cases. He has handled thousands of these cases and is committed to obtaining maximum benefits for his clients.

Mike is certified as a Workers’ Compensation Specialist by the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) Workers’ Compensation Law Section.

Early in his career Mike worked for a large law firm that represented insurance companies and self-insured companies in workers’ compensation cases. He obtained invaluable insight from his experience as to how insurance companies think, what strategies they may use to deny or reduce benefits, and how to counter-act them. Mike has earned a reputation in the legal community as one of the most respected workers’ compensation attorneys in the area.

Mike is a frequent lecturer and guest speaker to various Bar organizations and professional organizations. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Association for Justice, Lancaster Bar Association and the Work Place Injury Litigation Group (WILG), a national organization of attorneys who exclusively represent injured workers in workers’ compensation cases. Mike has twice been named the Section Chair for the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Lancaster Bar Association, mostly recently in 2010.

Mike is a 1985 honors graduate of Providence College, Providence, Rhode Island . He graduated in 1988 from the Dickinson School of Law where he was a member of the Appellate Moot Court Board and the Constitutional Law Moot Court Team.

Mike and his wife, Julia, live in Lancaster with their three children. In his spare time Mike enjoys spending time with his family, biking, reading, traveling and rooting for the Boston Red Sox.
